A Planner That Works For You

The ADHD mind benefits from writing things down: gets thoughts out of your head, where they tend to spin around, and supports your memory for tasks you can’t get to right away.

So what is the best planner? That’s easy —

The best planner is the one you will use!

Deirdre works and is in school, and she shared with me the academic-year planner she found and really likes. The months are tabbed, with a 2-page layout for each month. Each week has a 2-page spread, with a few lines for daily activities - all she really needs - as well as sections for Notes and To-Do’s.

This planner is on the small side at about 6” x 8,” a convenient size to carry, which helps Deidre to write down reminders when she thinks of them. She particularly likes that the To-Do’s are weekly, not daily — more flexibility!
